🌲 New art for Pine Shallows
To prepare for the upcoming Kickstarter of Pine Shallows I commissioned some new art. I’m so excited to show it off!
People who follow me on Instagram might already have seen it: I’m proud to present the new cover for Pine Shallows by bertdrawsstuff. Bert made the first version almost 3 years ago, and he gave the cover a great glow up!

Bert is also working on new character art for each of the character backgrounds. I can’t wait to show these off, they are going to be great.
I also asked Penflower Ink to create some cool scenes of kids on adventure. The first scene shows off the mysterious lighthouse of Pine Shallows, the second scene might be familiar to anyone who knows the starter adventure ‘Catch of the Day’.

Currently I’m updating the layout to include the great new art. Keep an eye out on the Pine Shallows itch page. To follow along with the upcoming Pine Shallows Kickstarter page.
🥔 Bloggies nomination
I’m very proud to have received a nomination for the upcoming Bloggies with my post The Five Laws of Roleplaying Games in the new Meta category. Bracket voting begins Monday, February 16th.
Honored to be in the bloggies. Excited for the voting. Scared because my blog is up against the great Jeff Stormer of Party of One, with his post Thinking About Actual Play As Nonfiction.
Check here for a complete overview of nominations and voting information.
🇳🇱 Dutch translation A Visit to San Sibilia
Next to the existing Polish & Spanish translation, A Visit to San Sibilia is now also available in a Dutch translation.
Thanks to Tom Blok (Project Epos), Heleen Kleiboer & Jan Hoos for proofreading.
If you come to a con in the Netherlands, you might even find a print version of the translation soon (at the very least at RinCon & Main Quest Con).
Let me know if you’re interested in a print copy of the Dutch version.
Hiria: the Eternal City in the No Ice in Minnesota bundle
Jes the Human organized another great bundle to raise funds for Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota in response to the Trump administration sending ICE agents to the Minneapolis area and the reckless murder of an innocent people by ICE agents. ILCM provides free immigration legal representation to low-income immigrants and refugees in Minnesota and North Dakota.
I donated my solo journaling game Hiria: the Eternal City to the bundle. The bundle already raised over $200k, but it would be great if we could collect even more funds to fight the fascist thugs.
Check the No Ice in Minnesota bundle with over 1400 games by 651 creators.

I love Bill Making Stuff, a great Youtube channel where Bill creates miniatures, monsters and scenery from scratch. Recently I really enjoyed his video where he made an in-universe zine for his common setting.
Nice inspiration for everyone creating their own worlds or settings.
One of my favorite zine related Youtube channels is catmothcrow. In this tutorial she shows how to make the classic mini zine.
I think I forget to share this when it was published. For a previous charity bundle Jes the Human did a flip through of Pine Shallows.
See you in the next one!
Peter
