Monstermind #9: Pine Shallows released!
Hi all!
Because I always wait longer then intended between these mails, this issue is again brimming with news and announcements! Without further ado...
Pine Shallows - Final version (for now...)
It took a while, but finally version 1.0 of Pine Shallows and the accompanying starting adventure are here!
Thanks to Tyler Crumrine’s editing the game has been streamlined & improved. Great art by bertdrawsstuff, Evlyn Moreau & Emiel Boven helps bring Pine Shallows to live.

Future plans
This doesn’t mean the end for Pine Shallows. I have a whole stack of notes for future adventures, which I’d love to expand and finish up. Changes are I’ll make them part of a Kickstarter for a print edition of Pine Shallows end of this year, beginning of next year…
Next to that I also have a lot of notes for the Forever Never, a game inspired by worlds such as Oz, Wonderland & Narnia, using the same rules as Pine Shallows. Expect to see a first draft for that also pop up in the coming months.
Lost to the Starlit Reptiles
It's been a while since I released this old school hexcrawl adventure. A micro-setting in the vein of the work of Highland Paranormal Society and old school point & click adventure games.
On release I included stats for OZR and DURF. For higher OSR compatibility I’ve now added add stats for Knave. With stats for OZR, DURF & Knave, this means it should be easy to run Lost To The Starlit Reptiles in your favorite old school style tabletop role playing games.
Hiria: The Eternal City
Hiria exists on all worlds of the multiverse, but never quite the same. You have tracked your quarry here, but they escaped to one of the other manifestations of the city. Will you follow them?
After the successful crowdfund campaign for my new solo journaling game Hiria: The Eternal City. I'm now hard at work at it. The first round of playtesting has just finished, and with some very valuable feedback I've a 2nd playtest draft ready.
(Interested in playtesting? Send me a message! DM me on Twitter, reply to this mail or find me on Discord at JimmyShelter#8391)
Newsletter Ring

As part of the Newsletter Ring I want to highlight an essay that really struck a chord with me: Alone in a forest, Alfred Valleys essay for the Peregrine Coast Press newsletter.
Alfred says: I wrote an article for Peregrine Coast Press about the joy of solo rpgs, with forays into Waldeinsamkeit, doom-scrolling and open world video games
That's it for this edition!
Hope you have a good one,
Peter
